At our house, with the young age of my children, laundry is something they love to be involved with. Well, at least my girls are, ages 4 and 7. They want to help with every step. I’m trying hard to keep them involved so they will continue to help me as they grow older. It can get a little nuts all the places we hid him. For the game: I place the yarn spiders in my son’s room under his pillow, and once he finds him, he’ll hide the spider some place else. One of our favorite activities from last year was planning and preparing a festive red and green meal. We have to eat dinner anyway, so this is not too much extra work! We set the table with red and green dishes, and dined on pasta with marinara, tortellini with pesto, roasted broccoli, red and green apple slices, and cranberry juice. They loved creating this fun meal from start to finish, and we’re definitely doing it again this year!...
We celebrated this book by making our own Rainbow Ribbon Rings. We used shower curtain rings and scraps of ribbon, representing all colors of the rainbow. Then we tied each color to our ring in the order from the book as we read it. Now it’s a fun playful ring that my daughter dances around with. We’ve also made these fun Ribbon Rings, wrapping them around the whole ring and leaving the ribbon long and flowing to play with....
