We enjoyed reading this book, trying to figure out what feeling the fruit or vegetable was expressing. We talked about emotions and what they were, what kinds of things make us happy, sad, angry, or silly. This is a great book introducing feelings and how our faces look when we are mad or sad or happy. We couldn’t wait to celebrate this book. We went to the store and I let the kids pick out a few different produce items....

The only supplies you need for making paper cubes are pieces of colored construction paper, cut into 2″x4″ strips, and a glue stick. Potato Print Turkey Craft Supplies: brown paint potato white card stock googly eyes glue stick orange paper red, green, yellow, blue, and orange paint orange marker- I used a fine point sharpie marker scissors Instructions: Leave the prints to dry. Supplies for paper plate frisbees: 2 paper plates for each frisbee colorful markers or crayons scissors clear shipping tape Place both plates right side up, as if you were going to put food on them. Supplies for Tissue Paper Flowers: tissue paper scissors hole punch button pipe cleaner Cut out 6 small 2 inch circles. Punch 2 small holes in the center of the circles. You can do this with a hole punch or with a pair of scissors (be careful if using scissors). Thread your pipe cleaner through one hole of your 6 tissue paper circles and through one hole of your button. Then come back down through the other side of the holes....
