I found this fun caddy at our local craft store and thought it was perfect for our everyday supplies at home. For today’s project, we’re partnering with Fiskars to help make our craft caddy complete. They are our go-to for scissors at back to school time as they have such great sizes – and now so many fun new designer handles!...

Mindfulness is about taking it all in, gathering all the information, and being thoughtful about the process. Choosing The Right Yarn For Crochet

Just staring out: First off, know that a skein is a length of yarn wound together. I didn’t know what that meant, so I thought I’d start there! When just starting out, choose something cheap, as you are probably going to make a few mistakes. Which is okay, that’s what it’s all about. My first project was with this Lion Brand Yarn chenille yarn pictured below which I made into a scarf for my daughter....

Classic Kids Craft Paper Weaving

Materials: colored paper strips of colored or patterned paper scissors We love the combination of a solid color base with patterned paper strips. You can also experiment with weaving ribbons, yarn, strips cut from magazines, or fabric pieces. If you have finger paintings or other artwork your child has done, those can be cut into strips for weaving, too. Fold your base paper in half and cut slits starting at the fold....

These are the easiest curtains ever. Graham Cracker Cookies

So whenever I have left over frosting, like from last weeks fun Valentine cookies, I make Graham Cracker Cookies. My kids love them, but I am eating them too fast for them to have seconds. Halloween Mod Podge Magic

First, I chose a square wood piece (you could use any shape or size of wood here). I stained the edges with brown paint mixed with water, because I didn’t want the natural wood look. Then I cut my orange Halloweenish paper to the exact measurements of the top of my wood piece. Then I applied Mod Podge to the wood surface as a glue and pressed on the paper, aligning it to match all four sides....

Hands On Science Make A Model Eardrum

Can you see sound? A loud noise from banging the cookie sheet produces sound waves. These sound waves cause plastic wrap stretched over a bowl to vibrate, which then causes the rice grains to move. In this model, the plastic wrap simulates the eardrum, a thin piece of skin in the middle ear, stretched tight like a drum. When sound waves enter the ear, the eardrum vibrates, which then moves the tiny bones inside the ear (the ossicles)....
