When my little one was about 10 months old I discovered a make it yourself marshmallow and graham cracker that didn’t need any of those ingredients that I couldn’t have. So, when I needed a special treat I would make a s’more using peanut butter (I don’t know why it didn’t bother her and other nut products did) instead of chocolate. Now, even though she is two years old, I still crave marshmallow and peanut butter together....

Actually, my girls favorite is the yellow bird, Woodstock. Even my oldest son, Matt, is excited to see the movie. I am the queen of shortcuts. Making homemade marshmallows is not something I would normally voluntarily do. But I’ve gotta tell you, they were easy to make. Seriously. And they are DELICIOUS. I’ve never eaten truly fresh marshmallows. This is what marshmallows were meant to be. I used a simple recipe from Alton Brown. I was really happy with this recipe. It was easy to follow and the marshmallows came out perfectly…so smooth and melty....

If you have never heard of brown butter, let me bring a little joy to your world. It is essentially nothing more than caramelized butter. If you’d made clarified butter, you’ve gone 3/4 of the way to making this butter. I like to make this in a skillet. If you have a stainless steel skillet (I don’t), it will be easier to determine when the butter has browned sufficiently. I like to take it a little darker than most people, so you’ll notice in the picture mine is a deep, dark brown....

Since my pudding turned out to be a little on the yellow side, I only need to add a bowl of red and blue to make our rainbow. Divide your pudding into a few bowls, one for each color to be mixed....

Well, I can relate to Trixie’s Dad when trying to locate my kid’s stuffed animals, or “knuffle bunnies”. My son has been sleeping with this dog, Honey pictured above, every night since he was 2 (he’s now 6). So far, it’s not too ragged, but it’s getting there, as it used to bark.
