I have been intimidated to cook ribs at home. BBQ cooks talk about slow and steady, or just the right sauce. I’ve been using the stand from my kids’ old wooden stacking toy to hold my washi tape. It makes perfect sense and I love displaying all the fun colors on my desk. Not only have my kids outgrown the toy, it’s in too rough of shape to hold onto for their kids or pass on to someone else. I mean, it’s missing a purple ring and the dark blue one went through the wash at some point....
To get the fun started, you’ll want to: Choose a scavenger location (neighborhood, park, etc). Print out your scavenger hunt. Place them in sheet protectors (to protect from the elements). Grab a snack or two. If you don’t want to actually ‘collect’ all of the goodies (many of which you really can’t), consider taking a camera (the kids would LOVE taking a polaroid camera along to capture their finds). Even your phone would work!...
Supplies for Painted Gift Wrap: cellophane wrapping – cut into 24 inch square sheets craft paint – halloween colors paper plate sponges, paint brushes ribbon treats Lay out your cellophane sheet on the table. Apply a tablespoon or so of paint onto the paper plate. Using your sponge or paint brush, paint onto the cellophane. You can simply make fun circles with Halloween colors or do some Halloween designs. My daughter had fun just painting all over....

Today we will be making simple mosaic artwork out of fabric shapes. The really awesome thing about this project is that it is so fun for children of all ages. For smaller children, you can pre-cut geometric shapes and have them arrange and glue. Older children can cut their own shapes from the fabric and create their own designs with endless possibilities. Toy Car Balloon Racers Gather the supplies to make a few balloon racers. For each racer, you will need: toy car balloon plastic straw (thick one, like a smoothie straw) rubber band tape balloon pump (optional, but helpful!) Step 1: Cut the straw in half.
