It’s the latest installment in the Disney A Twisted Tale series which puts a “twist” on the stories you know and love. I Ve Caught The Crochet Bug

I first learned to crochet when I was young. But I could never get my edges even. I would try and try to make a simple scarf, but it always turned out wonky. I finally gave up, arg! But I held onto hope that I’d turn to it again. I was recently sparked with the thought to try again when a friend of mine asked her friends and community to crochet 16 inch square blankets for a Teeny Tears campaign....

Ice Cream Rice Crispy Treat Sandwiches

I jazzed up the rice crispy treats with ice cream. I made a jumbo ice cream sandwich with two rice crispy treats. It was a little messy, but we all were in heaven, such a special treat. I put sprinkles in the rice crispy treats and on the ice cream to add some color and pizazz. This is a fun treat for summer-the kids will love them! If the rice crispy sandwich is a little much, you can try a rice crispy treat sundae!...

Read Aloud Chapter Books

It can be tricky for kids to transition from a picture book to a chapter book. With very few pictures, chapter books use a child’s whole imagination, hearing your words and forming their own images. After each chapter, I suggest you do a little review with your kids, whether they’re young or older. This way you see if they got the main idea of the book, then you’re ready to move on to the next chapter....

Candy Cane Hearts

Make sure you take the plastic off the candy canes first. Place your candy canes on a silicon baking mat on a baking pan or with a pan that has vegetable spray. I arranged them how I wanted them to look when they were done, but they do come out soft and you can mold them later. Set your oven to 250 degrees and cook them for 10 minutes. Right out of the oven they should be playable and easy to mold, caution – they may be warm/hot to the touch....
