We made a list of all the things Dad likes. Then we got out old “cut-able” magazines, found the images, cut them out, and glued them on. My son thought he was really funny and cut out a picture of something that Jordan actually HATES with a passion. We kept it in the collage because my son was so funny about it. My kids do not like cream of mushroom soup, and to be completely honest they’ll totally pick the mushrooms out of this casserole too, but because I use fresh sliced mushrooms it’s so much easier to do. Ice Cream in a Baggie: Pour all the ingredients into one of the small baggies. I use a large cup to place the zip bag in to keep the ingredients steady. 1/4 cup half and half 1 Tbsp sugar 1/4 tsp vanilla extract 1 gallon size Zip Bag, 2 sandwish size bags 2 cups ice, 1 Tbsp rock salt Zip it tight and get rid of excess air. Family Tree Holiday Cards how-to: Cut out little faces from a photo (would be fun if these were silly faces too), glue them onto paper circles, and glue the circles onto a green paper tree. I spelled out “Happy Holidays” in stickers as well. And of course I glued on a fun yellow pom-pom for the top of the tree. I’m loving the 3D effect for this year, giving our cards that little extra bit of flare!...
But the one thing my kids don’t like about homemade play dough is the smell. It has a baked flour-type smell that isn’t the best. So I’ve been adding essential oils to the mix and it’s made all the difference. My kids have way more fun playing, using up all those senses, with the sweet smelling dough. The first night we eat it as is. I pull off some legs and slice up some of the breast. It is perfect to eat exactly how it is prepared and doesn’t need any sauce. But you could add some BBQ sauce or even teriyaki sauce. I serve it with rice or a green salad. Then I slice up the rest of the chicken off the bone. I like to do this at the same time as I prepare the first nights dinner to get all the cutting over with at once....
Most of the times we are not aware of exactly what to look for “in season” near us. While during summer and fall is not that tricky, when winter comes the abundance of seasonal fresh produce is more limited. If you are not that familiar with what’s in season, this winter you can always check the fruit and vegetable section of your local supermarket or farmer’s market. If you notice an abundance of certain fresh fruits and vegetables, that means those fruits and veggies are in season and you’l probably get the best deals....

Rhyme Time For younger kids: I usually start by having my kids give me a word like, “blue”. Then I show them how to rhyme it by choosing the word, “shoe”. I’m the one rhyming for a while, until they hear how it works and are ready to try. Then I give the word and they try to rhyme it. If I say “red”, they may say “blue”. I try to explain that although red and blue are colors together, they don’t have the same sound in their words....
It can be intimidating to try something new. And fennel is pretty intimidating, especially if you aren’t sure if you like its mild anise flavor. Fennel goes very well with pork, but also beef. Besides using the fresh fennel bulb, I added sliced onions and gave the roast beef a quick rub with some crushed fennel seeds mixed with salt and pepper. If you absolutely hate fennel in all forms, feel free to substitute another spice (or leave it out completely) and use more onions in place of the fennel....

From the title of the post you can already tell I have a house full of girls. There are plenty of tea parties, dressing up and making up dances over here. I thought a Fancy Fan would be the perfect addition to all of these daily activities.
