How to Make Mixed Berry Simple Syrup
The recipe is so simple, I can’t believe I haven’t tried to make syrup before! You just wash and prepare your selection of berries (cut strawberries in slices) add them to a large pan with sugar and 25 minutes later the syrup is ready! You can use fresh or frozen berries: raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc. I have used strawberries and raspberries for this recipe.
How to use the simple mixed berry syrup:
Add a small quantity of syrup to a glass and fill with sparkling water. Stir well, add some ice cubes and couple of fresh raspberries to it and you have the perfect summer lemonade! Add it to non-alcoholic drinks or cocktails. Drizzle over ice cream, pancakes, crepes or waffles. Mix with yogurt and fresh chopped berries for a quick and healthy breakfast or dessert.
