How to make a date smoothie
To make a quick and easy smoothie it’s as simple as adding all of your ingredients to a blender and blending until thick and smooth. However, we have a couple of tips for making your smoothie even better.
Do you put ice in a smoothie?
You absolutely can put ice in a smoothie. However, if you use frozen fruit, as we did, then there really is no need to add ice too. If you do choose to add ice, make sure to add the softer ingredients to the blender first, and put the ice cubes on top before blending. Tip: Put the bananas in the freezer the night before you are going to use them.
How to blend dates in a smoothie
Personally, I don’t mind chunks in my smoothie at all. However, if you don’t like the date chunks in yours, there’s an easy way to make your date smoothie much smoother. Let your dates soak in the milk or in warm water for about 10 minutes before roughly chopping and then blending them. You can also add a little more liquid to your smoothie to thin it out. Add the liquids to the blender first, then the softer ingredients, and top it with the frozen ingredients to help it blend better.
