I love it so much that I wanted to have it all the time. So I came up with this recipe that is almost better, and probably healthier, than the original. Homemade Filet-O-Fish: Buns, these are whole wheat, see… healthier. Cheese, melted in the microwave or oven for a short time.

Fish Sticks, Costco’s frozen fish sticks are Yum. Cook per directions and layer 3 across the cheesy buns.

Tartarish Sauce: 1 cup mayo, 1 tsp dry mustard or dijon, 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice, pinch of cayenne. You can add the chopped up dill pickle if you want, but I despise pickles.

Plop it all together and you have a fabulous sandwich fit for a Queen. Eat your heart out Mickey D’s.

Have fun eating homemade. You can usually save a few dollars and skip the fries, I know I should.
