Watercolor painting ideas for kids
Sometimes kids need a little inspiration to get started with art. Whether you have a Cricut to cut out blank images, or you cut out images from coloring pages, this could spark a world of creativity. You can also download images from PicMonkey or Canva.
Supplies needed
Plain or watercolor paper Several blank images to choose from Watercolor paints Paintbrushes Glue stick
Instructions
Let your child choose which image they would like to use for their watercolor art. Make sure you provide them with a few different ideas, for example, dinosaurs, animals, people, buildings, or vehicles. Once they have chosen their image, they can glue it onto the paper.
Let them create the background for the image they chose. There is no right or wrong way for them to do this, so let them use their imagination.
Once they have finished their watercolor art, set it aside to dry and ask them if they would like to try another on. You will find that the more the practice the more they will use their imagination.
