I’m excited to be a guest contributor for PBS Parents this year, sharing a great way to display all the things you’re thankful for with this Thankful Tree. Head on over to read how we attached these paper leaves onto a real tree branch to make a thankful centerpiece. Not only will it look great in the center of your table, but this great craft idea is a meaningful family tradition to do year after year! It’s always good to think about everything you have to be thankful for, and seeing what each family member shares is such a great conversation starter. This is one we’re sure to repeat every Thanksgiving!
Next, keep the kiddies busy this Thursday by having them make Edible Turkey Treats I’ve shared over at Snackpicks. Aren’t these little gobblers adorable? They’re so much fun to make and eat, and they’d even make a great party decoration! Best of all, they’ll keep the kids engaged while you’re getting the big meal ready!
To help you glitz up your holiday table settings, craft these recycled Acorn Napkin Rings I created at Craftzine. You can keep your acorns all natural or jazz them up with a little gold spray paint! This would be a great project to help the older kids get involved with the meal planning. Maybe they could even make place cards to match!
Share your favorite Thanksgiving Pie recipes at the Blog Frog Seasonal Community. Do you go traditional with simple pumpkin pie or spice it up with something new and fresh? Share your family’s favorites and find a few new ideas to switch up your holiday menu this year!
I hope these ideas help you to plan a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday for you and your family- even at the last minute! There’s so much to be thankful for- family, friends, great food, and more! Have a happy Turkey Day! SaveSave
